Over at Watchdog Arena, Mr. Haupt has a great introduction to Calvin Coolidge for both those who already know him and those who will know him better after reading. Overlook the typos like “Coolidge was the 13th president” because it is all together an excellent piece in which to meet “Silent” Cal, a statesman who thought not of his own political future but the betterment of America’s. His actions still speak crisply and clearly across the generations.
