Third Anniversary of “The Importance of the Obvious”!

fireworks

Today marks the third anniversary of our journey here to explore the character and political philosophy of Calvin Coolidge. What began in high school with the reading of Robert Sobel’s An American Enigma and Thomas Silver’s Coolidge and the Historians almost two decades ago has grown into a project to rediscover the most underrated President of modern time. Here we are learning anew what makes him not only important but a reminder that we could all use an ample measure of his wisdom, his example, and his emphasis on the obvious.

Thank you for all my excellent readers. You keep this a rewarding journey. Look forward to the rest of 2016.
